Dr. Jarod Appointed Adjunct Professor

Dr. Jarod Johnson will return to his alma matter to teach to begin the new year.  He has recently accepted an appointment as an Assisting Adjunct Professor at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.  Dr. Jarod will begin clinical responsibilities working with students and residents starting in February 2016.

Dr. Jarod will bring expertise in clinical and business education to the students.  He earned his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine where he received advanced training on a wide variety of topics relating to Pediatric Dentistry.  The recent opening of Arctic Dental in Muscatine, IA will provide students and residents with assistance in transitioning from an educational setting to private practice.

He is excited to also pursue opportunities in research and continuing education within the University setting.  Read more about Dr. Jarod.

Dr. Jarod has received advanced training in behavior management, sedation, hospital dentistry, trauma, special health care needs, interceptive orthodontics, space maintenance, oral hygiene, and dietary counseling. His energetic personality allows him to relate to kids on an individual level. He understands the importance of children having a positive dental experience and strives to provide the best care tailored to each child’s needs. Dr. Jarod enjoys educating children and their families on the importance of oral health so they can establish good habits for a lifetime of smiles. His goal is to develop relationships with each of his patients to establish a dental home that is welcoming from infancy through adolescence.
