Dentaltown Magazine – May 2016

Muscatine Pediatric Dentist Dr. Jarod Johnson has authored an article that was published in the May issue of Dentaltown Magazine. The magazine is a nationally distributed publication that reaches the offices of thousands of practicing dentists.

Dr. Jarod’s article titled “Is it Time to be Conservative or Progressive?” focuses on dental materials that are available for use in children’s teeth. His training and experience gained during a two year pediatric residency at The University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine provided the background and expertise for the publication. The piece is intended to provide general dentists valuable information on treatment planning and diagnosis for the pediatric patient.

Dr. Jarod has also instructed an online continuing education course for Dentaltown titled “The Blunderbuss Apex: A Search for the Smoking Gun” which is available for viewing through Dentaltown’s online Continuing Education Portal.

Dr. Jarod has received advanced training in behavior management, sedation, hospital dentistry, trauma, special health care needs, interceptive orthodontics, space maintenance, oral hygiene, and dietary counseling. His energetic personality allows him to relate to kids on an individual level. He understands the importance of children having a positive dental experience and strives to provide the best care tailored to each child’s needs. Dr. Jarod enjoys educating children and their families on the importance of oral health so they can establish good habits for a lifetime of smiles. His goal is to develop relationships with each of his patients to establish a dental home that is welcoming from infancy through adolescence.
